The first quarter of the year has gone in a flash and already SO much has happened. After reading Lucy Cole’s recent blog post ‘What’s coming up?‘ and seeing her forthcoming plans, it got me thinking about mine. So far in 2019 a lot has happened in terms of my successes. I have moved my blog from Blogger to WordPress, visited Budapest, turned 21 and there is still SO much more to come. I am so excited for what’s next in 2019, but first I need a plan!
Look after myself
Looking after yourself is essential, it is certainly something I need to do more. I am going to make time to pamper myself throughout the week and unwind. You can work hard, but it is so important to rest. I need to reduce the amount of screen-time on my phone and replace it with a good book. I also need to get into the routine of going to the gym more. Initially, at the start of this year, I chose not to follow the crowd by cancelling my gym membership lol, now it’s time to get back on track – remember Cynthia, exercise is good for you!
I’m 21, the world is my oyster as they say! Travelling more doesn’t necessarily mean globe-trotting in this instance. Don’t get me wrong, I’d love to, but erm MONEY! What I mean is to explore the area i live in a bit more. My hometown is based in Kent and there are so many beautiful seaside towns that I am still yet to explore. I usually stick to what I know and that’s what leads me onto the next thing…
Try new things
By this I mean food recipes, workout-routines, style options – the whole lot! Change used to scare me so much, but ever since living in Beijing, China last year I have finally overcome my fear of change. I am starting to really enjoy trying new things and switching it up. I am a lot more open-minded and I like that trait about me.
Work, work, work, work, work, work…
I would already consider myself a very hard-working person. However, this year it is all about working hard when you put in the effort good things will come your way. It is as simple as that.
With improved consistency over all of my social channels, slowly but surely I am definitely starting to see growth in both my engagement and my audience. I reached a very HUGE milestone in my blogging journey this month and that was having the opportunity to work with one of my favorite brands Primark – WHAAAAAAT!!?!!
I have also decided that I want to introduce a ‘Not Taught at School‘ series to both my blog and YouTube channel. I want to add value to my audience by giving them advice on mortgages, tax and all things money (I am currently studying Accounting & Finance and working as an Accountant on placement year). I’m not sure when I will release the first of this series as I want to put a lot of effort into it to make it right for you guys. So, that’s a bit TBC for the moment…
So, what’s next for you?
If you’re struggling to plan what’s next for you, then just remember that everybody in the world starts off with the same amount of time. It is all about how you utilise your time. You can read my previous post ‘Time Management with Adexe London‘ for tips on time management.
